Bio

Born in 1984 in Jaén, Spain, Marta began studying cello at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Jaén when she was 9 years old, completing intermediate studies (grado medio) in 2002. She subsequently studied Teacher Training (Magisterio) and Musicology (B.A.) at the University of Granada.
Attracted by Flamenco music, she joined the flamenco fusion group “Del Alma”, as well as other flamenco ensembles in Andalucia such as “Mujeres Flamencas”(women in flamenco).
Since 2011 she has provided the music for the contemporary circus company “Zen del Sur”, which in in Feb. 2013 won the first prize of the prestigious international TALENT competition.
